Job summary

PMAT, a defense-focused systems engineering firm, seeks a Systems Engineer -- Level III to advance secure software capabilities across containerized, VM, cloud-based, and PaaS environments for DoD programs.

You will collaborate with engineering teams to deliver interoperable solutions across DDIL, afloat, and ashore contexts while adhering to Agile methodologies and security requirements. Onsite in San Diego, CA with occasional facility work.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of demonstrated full-lifecycle software development across containerized, VM, and cloud architectures in multiple security domains.
• 4+ years configuring automated security testing tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanners) as CI/CD quality gates in DoD-like pipelines.
• 3+ years engineering, integrating, and troubleshooting interoperable software systems in DDIL, afloat and ashore PaaS environments.

Responsibilities

• Support full-lifecycle software development across containerized, VM, and cloud-based architectures.
• Configure automated security testing tools within CI/CD pipelines across DoD environments.
• Engineer and troubleshoot interoperable software systems for critical defense platforms.
