Job summary

Kalman and Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support DoD programs with secure software built on the Microsoft stack. You will design, develop, and maintain mission-critical applications, emphasize security, and work in a remote-based East Coast team environment.

The role requires strong expertise in C#, .NET, SQL Server, JavaScript/EXT JS, and modern web practices, with DoD compliance and RMF/STIGs experience.

Qualifications

• US Citizen and eligible for DoD clearance.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with DoD cybersecurity frameworks (RMF, STIGs).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure software solutions using C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, ASP.NET and Visual Studio.
• Develop responsive front-end interfaces with JavaScript and EXT JS.
• Build secure RESTful APIs and modular components aligned with DoD standards.
• Administer and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases and write advanced T-SQL.
• Apply DoD Secure Coding Guidelines and participate in code reviews and threat modeling.
• Integrate Kiro AI capabilities while maintaining security and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support deployment in controlled environments.
