Job summary

Bowhead is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a Patuxent River, MD contract, serving as the primary point of contact with Government program authorities and overseeing contract execution and resources.

The role requires deep program management experience, a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility, and strong leadership to ensure compliance with Federal and DoD acquisition regulations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or an allowable substitution in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex programs, projects, or technical operations.
• Experience overseeing contractor performance, personnel, and program resources.
• Ability to independently manage high-visibility or mission-critical program activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contractor performance and execution of all contract requirements.
• Serve as the primary interface with Government program authorities.
• Manage the acquisition, allocation, and employment of program and project resources.
• Monitor program performance, schedules, and deliverables.
• Coordinate technical and program/project issues with Government stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Federal and DoD acquisition regulations.
• Provide leadership and direction to contractor personnel supporting the effort.
