Job summary

i3 is seeking a seasoned security engineer to design, implement, and maintain DoD networks in a multi-vendor environment (Cisco, Juniper, Brocade) in Colorado Springs. The role focuses on operational security, compliance with RMF, and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities include monitoring security, performing vulnerability scans with HBSS and ACAS, and providing reports to customers. Active DoD clearance and US citizenship are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant field (additional experience may substitute).
• 6-12 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with system/network vulnerability scanning tools.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining DoD network in a multi-vendor environment.
• Active CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification preferred.
• CCNA/CCNP/JNCIA-Junos is a plus.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain DoD network multi-vendor environment (Cisco, Juniper, Brocade).
• Monitor, evaluate, and maintain network and system security; review configurations for compliance.
• Maintain system security status under RMF; ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Provide network/system vulnerability scanning via HBSS and ACAS.
• Partner with end users to configure the network for multicast, broadcast, etc.
• Provide reports to internal and external customers in response to queries and requests.
• Other duties as assigned.
