Job summary

Karthik Consulting, LLC is seeking a Journeyman Network Engineer to support NAVFAC enterprise data communications networks in the National Capital Region. The role involves designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining LAN/WAN infrastructure, with emphasis on RMF documentation and reporting for security and compliance.

Required are hands-on experience with routers, switches, and firewalls, plus the ability to document configurations and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking and security protocols.
• Ability to document network designs and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• NETWORK DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION: Design and implement LANs/WANs, intranets/extranets and other networks.
• OPERATIONS AND TROUBLESHOOTING: Troubleshoot connectivity, device, routing, switching, and performance problems; document findings and actions.
• CAPACITY SECURITY AND TECHNOLOGY ASSESSMENT: Model and plan capacity; assess security measures and provide recommendations.
• RMF DOCUMENTATION AND REPORTING: Prepare RMF documentation and MSRs; maintain design and test records.
