Job summary

Abacus Technology is seeking a Network Engineer to provide technical support for strategic network and information services at Hanscom AFB. This is a full-time position.

The role involves designing, implementing and troubleshooting network solutions in line with AF enterprise standards and supporting both classified and enclave networks. Strong troubleshooting and coordination with vendors are essential, with DoD clearance and security requirements guiding day-to-day work.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of network engineering and telecom support experience.
• Security+ CE certification required.
• Degree preferred; alternative experience may substitute for degree.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, implement, and troubleshoot network solutions per AF standards.
• Provide engineering support for classified and enclave networks.
• Assist in securing network systems to meet DoD/AF/DISA compliance.
• Participate in maintenance and optimization of enterprise infrastructure.
• Interface with vendors for warranties, upgrades and updates.
• Diagnose data troubles, open tickets and coordinate with third-party SMEs.
• Research issues and develop detailed solutions.
