Job summary

Innovative Management Concepts, Inc. (IMC) seeks a principal Network Architect to lead modernization initiatives across DoD/national-security environments. This on-site Honolulu role guides senior engineers, defines the network baseline, and ensures secure, scalable design across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Active Cisco CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure or CCIE Security certification required at start date.
• Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible network engineering experience, incl. 7+ years in senior roles in DoD or national-security environments.
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (network engineering, CS, IS, EE, cybersecurity).
• Expert knowledge of enterprise routing/switching, BGP/OSPF, MPLS, QoS, firewalls, WAN, encryption, network mgmt.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise network architecture across distributed locations including DoD environments.
• Translate operational needs into enterprise architectures (logical, physical, cybersecurity, data-flow).
• Own network baseline: routing, switching, segmentation, QoS, encryption, WAN/SDN, and HA patterns.
• Develop and approve designs, IP/routing plans, BOMs, configs, rack elevations, cutover/rollback plans.
• Lead Tier 3/4 routing and security-related issues; mentor network engineers.
• Review work for accuracy, interoperability, cybersecurity impact, and compliance.
