Job summary

Strategic Operational Solutions, Inc. (STOPSO) seeks a Journeyman Network Administrator to support the National Guard Bureau NEC in Arlington, VA.

The role covers enterprise network operations, high availability, cybersecurity compliance, and sustainment of classified and unclassified environments onsite. You will troubleshoot connectivity, configure Cisco switches, monitor with SolarWinds, and work with ISE and ForeScout.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship required by government contract.
Active DoD Secret clearance on day one; ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI.
Eligible for DoD Top Secret clearance and SSBI.
High school diploma or GED.
Active IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA, Windows Server).
Experience designing, deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise network environments.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, IPv6, BGP, OSPF, NAT/PAT, MPLS, QoS, DHCP, and Cisco switching.
Experience with Cisco DNA Center, SolarWinds, and ForeScout.
Familiarity with DISA STIGs, cyber compliance, vulnerability remediation, and DoD security requirements.
Experience maintaining network documentation, diagrams, and configuration records.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience supporting DoD/DoA/IC network environments preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot classified and unclassified network connectivity including VLANs and IPv4/IPv6.
Configure, update, and maintain Cisco network switches and IOS backups.
Monitor network health and performance using SolarWinds.
Support Windows Server 2022/2025, VMware ESXi, and Red Hat Linux.
Administer Cisco ISE and ForeScout for authentication and asset management.
Utilize Cisco DNA Center for monitoring and device management.
Maintain VMware backups with VEEAM.
Follow change management processes for network configuration changes.
Develop and maintain network diagrams, SOPs, and inventories.
Participate in 24x7x365 operational environment and after-hours support.
