Job summary

Vista Global Solutions (VGS) is seeking a Senior Information System Security Engineer to support the migration and enterprise deployment of Microsoft Defender across Windows, macOS, and Linux for USUHS.

The Senior ISSE will ensure Defender configurations, endpoint security controls, and transition activities comply with DoD cybersecurity requirements and DISA STIGs, coordinating with program leadership and government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity engineering or security compliance.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• IAT Level II-compliant certification such as Security+ CE, CySA+, or GSEC.
• Experience implementing or assessing DISA STIGs and DoD requirements.
• RMF/A&A processes knowledge.
• Experience with Windows/macOS/Linux endpoint security.
• Ability to communicate risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform STIG assessments and security hardening for Defender endpoints.
• Run SCAP scans and review DISA STIG compliance.
• Develop STIG checklists and security docs.
• Coordinate remediation to close findings including I & I findings.
• Validate legacy Trellix decommissioning incl BitLocker/FileVault.
• Verify SIEM/telmetry integration (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel).
• Support RMF lifecycle and ATO artifacts in eMASS.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments using ACAS.
• Maintain POA&Ms through remediation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to embed security requirements.
