Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC seeks an experienced Contract Specialist Subject Matter Expert to support USSF and DoD missions in a remote capacity. You will advise contracting officers, lead source selections, and manage complex acquisitions across the full procurement lifecycle, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS and government policies.

The role requires 10+ years in government contracting, 5+ years as a warranted CO, and an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance
• 10+ years government contracting experience with 5+ years as a warranted Contracting Officer
• Experience supervising or leading a team including workload coordination

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level acquisition and contracting expertise for pre-award and post-award actions
• Advise Contracting Officers on planning, solicitations, negotiations, awards and administration
• Lead source selection activities and evaluate proposals
• Prepare, review, and coordinate contracting documentation and modifications
• Coordinate with government stakeholders to support acquisition outcomes
• Serve as Acting Team Lead as required to manage workload and mentor staff
• Support acquisition of commercial products/services for USSF and DoD with compliance to regulations
