Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems, LLC is seeking an experienced Contract Specialist SME to support USSF and DoD missions in a remote capacity. You will work with SSC/CMK, providing senior-level contracting expertise throughout the procurement life cycle.

The role requires an active Secret clearance, 10+ years of DoD contracting experience (including 5+ years as a warranted CO up to $5M), and strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS. Collaboration with DCAA, DCMA, and program offices is essential.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance is required.
• 10+ years of government contracting experience, including 5+ years as a warranted Contracting Officer with authority up to $5 million.
• 1+ year of supervisory or leadership experience, including workload coordination.
• In-depth knowledge of FAR and DFARS.
• Experience coordinating with DCAA and DCMA for compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level acquisition and contracting expertise across pre-award and post-award actions.
• Advise Contracting Officers on planning, solicitations, negotiations, awards, and modifications.
• Lead source selection activities and evaluation processes.
• Prepare and coordinate contracting documentation and determinations.
• Guide stakeholders on acquisition strategies and complex contracting matters.
• Coordinate with government and industry partners to ensure successful outcomes.
