Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and 10 years of experience
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and 8 years of experience
• PhD in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and 6 years of experience
• Payroll experience a plus
• Ability to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports
• Knowledge of FAR, CAS, SOX and DoD guidelines
• Ability to compile and analyze accounting information, record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy
• Ability to design, modify, install, and/or maintain accounting systems
• Knowledge of accounting and auditing policies and procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings

Responsibilities

• Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports
• Maintain or oversee control of accounts and records to ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, SOX and DoD guidelines
• Compile and analyze accounting information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy
• Design, modify, install, and/or maintain accounting systems to ensure adequate recognition of transactions
• Adhere to and communicate accounting and auditing policies and procedures
• Contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards
• Perform complex accounting tasks as an organizational expert
• Communicate technical approaches and findings clearly
