Job summary

CSCI Consulting is seeking a Senior Financial Management Analyst to provide financial reporting, trading partner reconciliation, and intragovernmental transaction support for a DoW/DoD client at the Pentagon.

The ideal candidate will analyze financial data across DoW organizations, resolve reconciliation variances, and strengthen audit readiness while ensuring compliance with federal financial management requirements.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
• 8–10 years of experience supporting federal financial management programs.
• Experience supporting Department of War financial management operations.
• Experience performing trading partner reconciliations and intragovernmental transaction analysis.
• Experience analyzing buyer-side and seller-side financial data.
• Experience supporting federal financial reporting and financial statement preparation.
• Experience researching and resolving financial data discrepancies, variances, and reconciliation issues.
• Experience supporting audit readiness, internal controls, or financial statement audits.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation, review, and analysis of DoW financial reports and financial statement data.
• Validate financial information for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with federal accounting requirements.
• Analyze trial balance activity, financial statement line items, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting activities.
• Perform buyer-side and seller-side trading partner reconciliations.
• Analyze intragovernmental transactions to identify reporting discrepancies between federal entities.
• Research and resolve unmatched balances, abnormal conditions, and data integrity issues.
• Coordinate resolution efforts with financial management offices, DFAS personnel, and other DoW components.
• Support reconciliation and elimination of intragovernmental balances and activities.
• Conduct detailed analyses of trading partner reporting data and supporting transactions.
• Review and validate reciprocal category information.
• Develop recommendations to improve reconciliation processes and reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate with DoW financial management organizations, accounting offices, system owners, and program stakeholders.
• Present reconciliation results, risks, and recommendations to client leadership.
• Participate in working groups, meetings, and reporting reviews supporting financial statement accuracy
