Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a Senior Acquisition Specialist to support a DoD acquisition program at Fort Detrick, MD. The role emphasizes program management, regulatory compliance, risk management, and cross-functional coordination across IPTs and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will oversee IMS/Gantt chart development, lifecycle documentation, and detailed reports. A Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience are required, with an active U.S.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree.
• Must have 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with DoD acquisition processes and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to interpret and apply DoDI 5000 and PPBE policies.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office 365 and project documentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide PMO support within DoD acquisition processes and regulatory guidelines.
• Produce reports, briefings, and information papers for PMO review.
• Lead IPTs, working groups, and product manager/vendor meetings.
• Coordinate site visits and testing activities, and manage related docs.
• Prepare IMS/Gantt charts, risk registers, and lifecycle cost estimates.
• Develop and maintain acquisition documentation and business case analyses.
• Communicate with stakeholders and document concurrence or non-concurrence.
• Assist in external agreements and tracking action items for programs.
• Monitor responses to external requests and manage information flow.
• Provide training and guidance to project teams and PMO staff.
