Job summary

RockBridge Search & Recruitment in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Senior Documentation Specialist to organize, create, and maintain critical business documentation across departments.

You’ll develop SOPs, manuals, workflows, policies, training materials, reports, and process documentation; collaborate with engineers, PMs, and compliance to ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory readiness in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional documentation, technical writing, document control, or records management experience.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and formatting skills.
  • Strong understanding of document lifecycle management and version control.
  • Experience creating technical documentation for corporate, engineering, manufacturing, healthcare, construction, or regulated industries is highly desirable.

What You'll Do

As our Senior Documentation Specialist, you will serve as the organization's documentation expert by creating, maintaining, and improving critical business documentation across multiple departments. Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, edit, review, and maintain technical, operational, and administrative documentation.
  • Create standard operating procedures (SOPs), manuals, workflows, policies, training materials, reports, and process documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, leadership, compliance teams, and subject matter experts to gather and validate information.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, consistent, compliant, and aligned with organizational standards.
  • Maintain document control systems, version histories, and document retention practices.
  • Establish documentation templates, formatting standards, and style guides that promote consistency across the organization.
  • Coordinate document reviews, approvals, revisions, and publication schedules.
  • Improve documentation workflows by identifying opportunities for automation and process optimization.
  • Ensure confidential and proprietary information is handled securely and in accordance with company policies.
  • Support audits, regulatory reviews, quality assurance initiatives, and compliance programs by maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with onboarding documentation and training resources for new employees.
  • Research industry best practices and recommend improvements to documentation processes and document management systems.
What We're Looking For
