Zscaler in San Jose, CA is seeking a Senior Manager, Software Development Engineering to lead the core Data Loss Prevention (DLP) engineering team within the Zero Trust Exchange. You will direct architecture, design, and delivery of high-throughput, low-latency DLP engines and content inspection pipelines implemented in C on FreeBSD and Linux.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of systems software experience with 2+ years in leading software teams.
• Deep understanding of NER models and runtime limits in high-throughput paths.
• Proficient in C on Linux/FreeBSD with IPC and shared memory expertise.
• Expert in production troubleshooting, post-mortems, and system tracing tools.
• DLP domain knowledge: regex engines, dictionary compilers, EDM/IDM, and incident streaming.

Responsabilités

• Lead and mentor a world-class systems software team for DLP engines and pipelines.
• Own technical direction for line-rate pattern matching, EDM/IDM, and dictionary compilers.
• Guide evaluation and deployment of NER/ML models with latency and memory constraints.
• Maintain high-performance, memory-safe multi-threaded daemons on FreeBSD/Linux.
• Serve as escalation authority for production issues and ensure scalable logging/SIEM integrations.
