Job summary

Westlake Chemical seeks a top accounting executive for its Chlorovinyls business unit. This role leads analytical decision support, US GAAP compliance, financial reporting, and SOX controls while guiding monthly close and process improvements across corporate offices and plant sites.

The successful candidate will oversee a 35‑40 member accounting team, coordinate audits, and drive budgeting and long‑range planning with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• At least twelve years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public/private sectors and manufacturing.
• CPA, CFA, and/or MBA credentials preferred.
• Prior supervisory/management experience in a corporate accounting department or division of a large manufacturing company.

Responsibilities

• Provide in‑depth analysis and business intelligence to improve Chlorovinyls operations.
• Oversee monthly close, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
• Maintain SOX controls, documentation and testing.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, addressing findings.
• Lead a team of 35‑40 across corporate office and plant sites.
• Assist with annual operating budget and long‑range planning.
• Review monthly performance and variances, identifying key drivers.
