Job summary

Madison Elementary School District #38 is seeking a Senior Graphic & Communication Designer to support the Communications & Marketing Department. You will create graphics, videos, and collateral that strengthen connections with families, staff, and the community, and help maintain the district’s image.

You’ll lead design and content creation across digital and print channels, coordinate events, and ensure brand consistency while collaborating with staff and external publishers.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or college coursework related to graphic design or public relations.
• Graphic design, communications, marketing or public relations experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and knowledge of design and communication principles
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Gmail and Google suite
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to plan from concept to completion
• Research and understand key issues to create concise communications
• Must have Arizona driver’s license
• Relate to students, staff and public positively

Responsibilities

• Create, design and coordinate production of district marketing materials, ads, publications, videos and social content
• Photograph and video record district events and edit for distribution
• Coordinate and produce evergreen content for digital and print
• Write engaging content for various audiences
• Coordinate with publishers on specifications, quotes, timelines
• Monitor and update district websites and social accounts
• Ensure brand consistency across platforms and content
• Assist with training staff in newsletters and other materials
• Gather and track information including photo releases and analytics
• Manage scheduling for event coverage
• Maintain archive of district accomplishments
• Assist with large district events
• Support traditional and digital signage across the district
