Job summary

The AMES Companies, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Operator in Reno, NV to handle normal distribution tasks including forklift operation, inbound/outbound shipments, and inventory control.

You will back up supervisors, train operator levels 2–4, and ensure efficient workflow within the facility. Candidates should hold an industrial lift truck certification and have strong computer skills with knowledge of WMS and RF scanning.

Qualifications

• Must pass and maintain industrial lift truck certification.
• Ability to perform tasks with limited supervision.
• Strong computer skills and multitask abilities.
• Knowledge of inventory software and order processing systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor workflow and drive productivity through workload management.
• Provide back-up to Distribution Supervisor(s).
• Assist in inbound/outbound shipments and staging of products.
• Train and monitor Operator levels 2–4.
• Daily tasks include RF accountability and shift-end reports.
• Unload inbound shipments and move products to storage locations.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and report variances.
• Promote safety and follow OSHA/MSDS standards.
