Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Project Manager with a distribution operations background to drive process optimization in a fast-paced Parts Distribution Center environment.

You will partner with warehouse operations, engineering, IT, and leadership to solve complex challenges and explore AI-driven solutions, automation, and new technologies for improved productivity, safety and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years leading operational optimization or continuous improvement projects.
• Experience in warehouse or distribution center operations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience analyzing operational data and translating findings into improvements.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional optimization projects focused on warehouse operations, material flow, labor productivity, inventory movement, and efficiency.
• Identify bottlenecks and pain points with operations leadership and frontline teams.
• Develop data-driven recommendations for process improvements.
• Drive Lean Six Sigma and IE methodologies for continuous improvement.
• Explore AI, automation, and analytics to boost performance and decision-making.
• Support layout optimization, slotting, storage utilization, and labor balancing.
