Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Project Manager with a distribution operations background to lead process optimization in our Parts Distribution Center. • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
• 5 years of experience leading operational optimization or continuous improvement projects.
• Experience in distribution center, warehouse, or supply chain environments.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Data analysis and translating findings into process improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional optimization projects focused on warehouse operations, material flow, labor productivity, inventory movement, and efficiency.
• Partner with operations leadership to identify bottlenecks and pain points.
• Analyze current workflows and develop data-driven recommendations for improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and IE methodologies.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and analytics to improve performance.
• Support layout optimization, slotting, storage utilization, and labor balancing.
• Develop project plans, timelines, business cases, and implementation strategies.
• Coordinate with IT, engineering, and stakeholders to execute improvements.
• Monitor KPIs and ROI to ensure benefits are achieved.
• Facilitate change management and adoption of new processes and tech.
• Conduct studies on throughput, staffing, productivity, and standardization.
• Present findings and updates to leadership.
