Job summary

Ampirical is seeking a Distribution Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers, designers, and staff in delivering large‑scale transmission and distribution projects.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree from an ABET‑accredited university and a PE license (or 2 years of equivalent experience). You will guide design, planning, and protection projects while coordinating with clients and vendors. Will travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree with PE license or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of distribution line design experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing multi-discipline engineering personnel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineers, designers, drafters, and coordinators and conduct performance reviews.
• Oversee design and planning engineers from conceptual routes to detailed designs.
• Prepare construction sketches, plans, and bills of materials.
• Lead distribution system planning and protection projects, including studies and relay settings.
• Travel up to 25% to client sites and manage project milestones.
