Job summary
ECF Engineering Consultants is seeking a Senior Distribution Electrical Engineer for our Atlanta, GA and Fort Lauderdale, FL offices. The role leads design efforts, prepares specifications, and oversees field engineering on complex electrical projects.
The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering, 6–10 years of experience, and knowledge of NESC/IEEE codes. Remote work with occasional client site visits and travel are expected.
Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Electrical Professional Engineer’s license is desired (GA or FL).
- 6–10 years of experience in related engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of industry and national codes (NESC, IEEE).
- Experience with design software, CADD and MS Office.
- Willingness to travel for site surveys and meetings.
- Remote work with occasional client site visits.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and preparation of specifications for large, complex projects.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure plans and specs are followed.
- Act as Resident Engineer on small-to-mid projects; interpret plans and codes.
- Prepare schedules, manage changes, and ensure timely completion.
- Supervise staff designers and technicians; provide technical guidance.
- Maintain familiarity with client/Company drawing systems and standards.
