Job summary

Datadog in Madrid or remote is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Distributed Systems (Continuous Profiler). You will help design, build and operate core profiling services at scale, enabling insights into application performance across production workloads.

You'll join multi-disciplinary squads, work with runtime engineers and data scientists, and own your code from development to production, aiming for ambitious SLOs and quality gates. Hybrid work arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java and Go is essential.
• Distributed systems engineer for high-performance, large-scale systems.
• Ability to review architectures and guide trade-offs.
• Experience with AI coding agents for performant results.
• Experience collaborating with distributed teams.
• Knowledge of statistical methods (sampling, Bayesian optimization) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and contribute to core profiling services at scale.
• Collaborate in multi-disciplinary squads with customers to shape product experiences.
• Own code from development to production, meeting SLOs and quality gates.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders on data consumption (UI, tools, integrations).
