Job summary

Helios Intelligence Platforms is hiring a Staff/Senior Distributed Systems Engineer for our SoHo, New York City office. You will report to the CTO and work with the founding team on the Proxi platform.

You will lead the orchestration of ingestion, processing, search indexing, model inference, and long-running research workflows, ensuring low latency and strong reliability for mission-critical operations.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of messaging, scheduling, and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and IaC tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own operation and architecture of Proxi’s distributed execution platform.
• Deploy GovCloud and air-gapped resources for sensitive environments.
• Orchestrate long-running agent research tasks with scheduling and leases.
• Optimize queues and cross-cloud information pipelines for scalability.
• Develop resource-aware autoscaling for fast search and processing.
• Oversee CI/CD and governance across the Helios platform.
• Support global customer infrastructure initiatives.
