Job summary

Amentum seeks an Electrical Engineer focused on discrete actives and passives components for hybrid work arrangements in Crane, IN. The role combines telework on Mondays and Fridays with on-site Tuesdays through Thursdays, supporting critical DoD programs.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field ( Electrical Engineering preferred), 5+ years of relevant experience, MIL-STD familiarity, and the ability to write thorough technical reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field, preferably Electrical Engineering, plus ≥5 years of relevant experience
• Experience with discrete actives and passives components and reliability standards
• Knowledge of MIL-STD and IEEE parts design practices
• Ability to write technical reports and communicate with customers and teams
• U.S. Government Secret Clearance eligibility

Responsibilities

• Provide discrete actives and passives component engineering support to the technologist team, including writing technical reports
• Advise military programs and designers on part selection
• Troubleshoot discrete actives and passives component issues and recommend solutions
• Understand electrical test methods, radiation effects, failure analysis tools, and material analysis tools
• Interface with program offices, prime contractors, designers, parts manufacturers, test labs, and other government agencies
• Develop and review test plan documentation
• Provide complete life-cycle support of strategic systems
• Travel is required 25% of the time
