You will design constructs, express and purify membrane-associated proteins, and perform comprehensive biophysical characterization.

The role requires a PhD in a related field, strong collaboration, and experience with membrane protein purification, crystallography or cryo-EM workflows, and binding biophysics.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biophysics, or Structural Biology.
  • Demonstrable understanding of biochemistry, including EM for structural biochemistry.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration within a dynamic team.
  • Experience with quantitative binding biophysics (BLI, SPR, or ITC), including kinetics/affinity analysis.
  • Experience with assessing purity, mass, or stability (mass photometry, SEC-MALS, DLS, analytical SEC, or DSF/thermal stability).
  • Experience reconstituting membrane or lipid-associated proteins into liposomes or nanodiscs.
  • Experience with Cryo-EM sample prep and data analysis workflows.
  • High rigor in experimental design, data recording, and ELN documentation.
  • Proactive, problem-solving attitude; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Design expression constructs and perform recombinant cell culture for membrane protein purification.
