Job summary

Eosol Group is seeking a seasoned Senior Disaster Recovery professional with 5+ years of experience to enhance IT resiliency and operational continuity. The role requires strategic thinking and deep expertise in recovery planning, implementation, and testing to safeguard critical business operations.

The ideal candidate will lead the definition of recovery strategies, review resiliency requirements, and drive DR testing frameworks while coordinating with senior stakeholders and technical teams

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, or IT resiliency.
• Proven track record in developing, implementing, and managing disaster recovery plans.
• Deep knowledge of RTO and RPO concepts and applying them to recovery strategies.
• Experience designing and executing DR testing with scenario development.
• Strong understanding of application resiliency and IT interdependencies.
• Familiarity with financial services regulations related to resilience is desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with technical teams and management.

Position Overview

Eosol Group is seeking a seasoned Senior Disaster Recovery professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience to play a pivotal role in enhancing our IT resiliency and operational continuity. This role demands a strategic thinker with deep expertise in disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the robustness and effectiveness of our recovery strategies, safeguarding our critical business operations against potential disruptions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide senior resiliency expertise: Offer advanced subject matter expertise to support Workstream 3 initiatives, focusing on the definition and refinement of our Disaster Recovery (DR) and overall recovery approach. This includes advising on best practices and innovative solutions to enhance our resilience posture.
• Lead resiliency requirements review: Spearhead the comprehensive review of resiliency requirements for all critical applications. Validate and ensure that the proposed recovery strategies align with business objectives and meet stringent recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO).
• Assess current capabilities and identify gaps: Conduct thorough assessments of existing recovery capabilities across the organization. Identify any discrepancies or gaps when compared to defined RTO/RPO targets and business continuity requirements. Develop and recommend actionable remediation plans to bridge these gaps.
• Support DR testing framework design: Actively contribute to the design and development of a robust DR testing framework. This includes defining realistic testing scenarios, establishing clear validation criteria, and ensuring effective business involvement and engagement throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Review application dependencies and sequencing: Analyze and review intricate application dependencies and the logical sequencing of recovery processes. Ensure that the designed recovery strategies are technically feasible, efficient, and effective in restoring services within stipulated timeframes.
• Provide subject matter guidance: Serve as a go-to subject matter expert (SME) for guidance on industry-standard resiliency principles, best practices for test readiness, and robust recovery governance frameworks. Ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure robust target recovery model: Contribute to the development and validation of a target recovery model that is not only robust and practical but also fully aligned with the overarching operational resilience objectives of the program and the wider organization.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, or IT Resiliency roles.
• Proven track record in developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive disaster recovery plans.
• In-depth knowledge of RTO and RPO concepts and their practical application in defining recovery strategies.
• Extensive experience in designing and executing DR testing, including scenario development and performance validation.
• Strong understanding of application resiliency principles and the interdependencies between various IT systems.
• Familiarity with financial services industry specific regulations and resilience requirements is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to assess current state capabilities, identify critical gaps, and propose effective remediation solutions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior management.
