Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior LTD Disability Claims Examiner (Tech DCM) to join the NJEA/BLET STD & LTD Claim Team within our Operations - Insurance Operations division. This role involves handling complex LTD claims, ensuring accurate and timely decisions, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage a complex block of LTD claims with expertise.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain strong relationships.
• Interact with claimants, employers, physicians, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance to claims staff as needed.
• Validate payment periods, monitor accuracy and timeliness, and oversee claim closure processes.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in LTD claim management.
• Ability to resolve complex claims with minimal guidance.
• Strong claim management skills and technical knowledge.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proven ability to handle challenging customer interactions.
• Adaptability and a focus on customer service excellence.

Virtual Work Requirements

• High-speed internet (minimum 3.0 Mbps downstream, 768 Kbps upstream).

Compensation and Benefits
