Qualifications

• 5-8 years of professional nursing experience (critical care, medical-surgical, or orthopedic) with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• 5-8 years as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner with related degree
• 2-3 years of complex claims assessment with physicians and analysts
• Strong leadership, adaptability, and independent work capability
• Excellent written and verbal communication across levels and teams

Responsabilités

• Provide medical review of claims, evaluating records, tests, and treatments.
• Communicate assessment, rationale, and recommendations to medical directors and analysts.
• Coordinate claim referrals with medical directors and outside physicians.
• Lead training and education for new disability benefit analysts.
• Partner with the law department to resolve disputes when needed.
