FNBO in Kansas City invites an experienced Director, Portfolio Manager to lead client-focused investment management. You will design, monitor, and trade diversified portfolios for individual and institutional accounts, aligning with client goals and risk profiles.

The role emphasizes relationship-building, investment acumen, and collaboration with advisors to retain and expand assets. CFA/CFP required; MBA preferred; experience with major asset classes essential.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in investment or wealth management.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
• CFA or CFP designation.
• Strong understanding of capital markets, global economy and asset allocation.
• Demonstrated expertise in equities, fixed income, or alternatives.
• Ability to explain complex investment concepts clearly to clients/advisors.
• Excellent relationship management with a client-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage individually directed portfolios, including fixed income, equities, and alternatives.
• Construct diversified portfolios within client objectives and constraints.
• Implement strategies approved by Investment Committee.
• Deliver exceptional client experience as a trusted advisor.
• Prepare for client meetings and collaborate with WM team to deliver service.
• Retain and expand client assets and relationships.
• Represent investment team in new business activities and RFP responses.
• Participate in investment research and committee discussions.
