Job summary

United Way Miami Inc. is seeking a Senior Director, Mission United to lead and expand the program serving Miami-Dade veterans and families. You will coordinate case management, benefits navigation, and employment support with partners to ensure high-impact outcomes.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and community engagement. You will oversee operations, data reporting, and advisory bodies while promoting collaboration across the organization and with local stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum five years’ experience managing people and projects.
• Knowledge of the needs of the Military/Veterans is essential.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans and targets for Mission United with clear, measurable outcomes.
• Lead the Mission United team and manage personnel, performance, and development.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, data collection, reporting, and program quality.
• Build and manage partnerships with community organizations to maximize impact.
• Foster organizational crisis readiness and ensure alignment with United Way priorities.
