Job summary

Vizient in Chicago seeks an operational leader to serve as the backbone for R&D ventures, acting as a trusted execution partner to venture leadership. You will bring structure, rigor, and momentum to early-stage initiatives, translating vision into disciplined operating rhythms that drive measurable progress.

Reporting to the VP of Venture Delivery, you will shape internal operating models, support scale-up, and coordinate with product, technology, legal, and compliance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive operational leadership in early-stage, high-growth or innovation environments.
• Experience as Chief of Staff, senior program manager, or operations lead with strategic and tactical skills.
• Builder mindset with ability to design new teams and workflows from scratch.
• Executive presence with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong Agile and Scrum experience guiding execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional execution from venture inception through scale.
• Design scalable operating frameworks with governance rhythms and milestones.
• Collaborate with legal, privacy, and compliance teams to embed risk management.
• Draft and deliver executive communications internally and externally.
• Facilitate collaboration across domains with clear operating cadences.
• Drive continuous improvement using agile, data-informed tooling and reporting.
