Job summary

Workhorse Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of Software, Controls & Vehicle Systems to lead strategy, organization, architecture, development, integration, and validation of vehicle software and controls across current and future commercial platforms.

This role will merge the legacy Workhorse and Motiv teams into one high-performing organization, establish scalable structures, and drive AUTOSAR, safety, cybersecurity, model-based development, and vehicle-control interfaces for ADAS and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years in automotive or safety-critical embedded systems.
• Strong leadership across multidisciplinary software and controls teams.
• Deep experience with embedded automotive software and vehicle-control systems.

Responsibilities

• Integrate legacy Workhorse and Motiv software teams into a unified engineering organization.
• Define and govern a scalable software and controls architecture across platforms.
• Lead AUTOSAR-based development, functional safety, and cybersecurity programs.
• Drive model-based development, CI/CD, and validation for production readiness.
