KUKA U.S. is seeking a Director of U.S. Government Affairs in Washington, D.C. to lead federal and state government relations on national security, trade policy, and regulatory matters, aligning with business strategy.

You will build and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulators, and industry groups, coordinate with Corporate Affairs & Legal, ensure LDA compliance, and travel about 30% to meet stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred in public policy, law, or economics.
• At least 5 years in government affairs with national security or regulatory focus.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. political landscape and policymaking processes.
• Experience with Capitol Hill, Treasury, Commerce, DoW, and/or CBP preferred.
• Strong network with federal government, Capitol Hill, and state legislatures (MI/OH preferred).

Responsabilités

• Represent KUKA U.S. in federal and state government affairs on national security, trade policy and regulatory topics.
• Promote KUKA U.S. interests in regulatory matters.
• Develop and maintain relationships with government officials, industry stakeholders, and advocacy groups.
• Monitor developments in national security, trade policy, and regulatory areas; provide updates and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align government affairs with strategic business goals.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and briefings for internal stakeholders on policy issues.
• Ensure compliance with the Lobbying Disclosure Act (LDA) through registration and reporting.
• Coordinate with Corporate Affairs & Legal on national security, international trade, and regulatory matters.
• Serve as primary external contact for U.S. government inquiries and communications.
