Job summary

Eikon Therapeutics in Jersey City (onsite) seeks a Senior Director of Translational Medicine to lead biomarker strategies across oncology programs, guiding assay validation and data interpretation to support clinical development.

You will oversee cross-functional biomarker subteams, collaborate with R&D, clinical development, pharmacology, biostatistics, and regulatory affairs, author protocol sections, ensure fit-for-purpose validation, and contribute to publications and regulatory filings

Qualifications

PhD with postdoctoral training in oncology or immunology.
Minimum 10 years of clinical biomarker development in a drug development setting.
Proven leadership in cross-functional biomarker teams.
Experience translating disease biology to clinical biomarker strategies.
Experience with companion diagnostic development and predictive/prognostic biomarkers.
Proficiency in R or Python for data analysis.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional Biomarker Subteam(s) to develop a comprehensive biomarker strategy.
Collaborate with research, clinical development, pharmacology, biostatistics, regulatory, data management, and operations teams.
Provide strategic input into preclinical and clinical development plans.
Identify and champion novel translational approaches and technologies.
Lead identification, validation, and implementation of biomarkers for patient selection and dose optimization.
Author biomarker sections of clinical protocols and oversee their execution.
