Job summary

Verastem Oncology is seeking a Senior Director of Translational Research to lead biomarker strategies across clinical programs. The role spans biospecimen management, vendor oversight, data analysis, and reporting, while guiding translational studies to inform indication selection and combinations.

The successful candidate will integrate data across discovery, translational medicine, and clinical operations, communicating findings to multidisciplinary teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in cancer biology, molecular biology, cell biology, pharmacology, biochemistry, immunology, or related field with at least 12 years of relevant industry oncology experience.
• Strong understanding of cancer biology, oncogenic signaling pathways, tumor dependencies, and mechanisms of response and resistance.
• Experience with biomarker research, pharmacodynamic analyses, and translational research supporting oncology drug development is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of biomarker and pharmacodynamic strategies for clinical studies.
• Collaborate with preclinical teams to design translational studies informing indication selection and drug combinations.
• Analyze and present biomarker data to identify insights guiding clinical development decisions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate biomarker findings with clinical data.
