THE ROLE
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Sr Director of Total Rewards & HR Operations will oversee all aspects of Certinia’s Total Rewards, HRIS, and Global HR Operations functions. This role is critical in evolving the employee experience, setting the global Total Rewards strategy, and leading system transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will analyze current practices, challenge the status quo, and design scalable, employee-friendly global Total Rewards and support programs aligned with business objectives.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE
  1. Set global priorities and strategies to attract, motivate, and retain key talent.
  2. Collaborate with global HR and organizational leaders to foster an engaging, values-driven culture.
  3. Focus on employee experience, ensuring high standards of service and alignment with business goals and budget.
  4. Utilize AI and technology to improve access to information and tools, maintaining a human-centered approach.
  5. Create a cohesive HR operations and total rewards narrative that is easily understood and managed.
  6. Lead teams in compensation, benefits, HRIS, and HR operations.
  7. Develop and implement a scalable global Total Rewards strategy and roadmap.
  8. Manage global compensation programs, including salary structures, bonus plans, executive compensation, and equity programs.
  9. Assist in preparing Board materials related to compensation.
  10. Develop and recommend strategic benefit programs that are cost-effective, competitive, compliant, and meet diverse workforce needs.
  11. Oversee third-party benefit vendors to ensure compliance and high-quality service.
  12. Drive continuous improvement in HRIS solutions and operational efficiency.
  13. Lead data analytics initiatives for informed decision-making.
  14. Provide strategic guidance to HR operations, focusing on operational excellence and employee experience.
  15. Manage global immigration strategies and daily requirements.
  16. Make culturally sensitive decisions tailored to different regions.
  17. Proactively identify and resolve issues.
  18. Collaborate across HR and other departments, including Finance, Payroll, Legal, and executive leadership.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
  1. 10+ years of global HR leadership experience in operations, benefits, compensation, and HRIS.
  2. Up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and trends, with strong benchmarking skills.
  3. Proven success in managing complex, cross-functional projects.
  4. Proficiency with HR management software and analytics tools.
  5. Excellent leadership and employee development skills.
  6. Ability to lead change and support organizational transformation.
  7. Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex ideas clearly.
  8. Experience in the tech industry or private equity-backed organizations is preferred.
