MSD is seeking a Senior Director, Clinical Science, Thoracic Oncology to provide strategic leadership across multiple studies and assets. You will apply deep therapeutic expertise to guide development planning, standardize scientific practices, and influence decision making within a matrix environment.

You will partner with section heads and cross‑functional teams to align disease area strategy with portfolio objectives, oversee data interpretation, and mentor Clinical Scientists across programs.

Qualifikationen

• Significant experience in Clinical Development, Clinical Science, clinical drug development, or a related function within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Demonstrated experience providing Clinical Science leadership across multiple studies, programs, or assets.
• Deep therapeutic area expertise, including strong understanding of disease biology, current and emerging treatment landscape, clinically relevant endpoints, and key scientific considerations affecting development.

Aufgaben

• Provide strategic Clinical Science leadership across the thoracic oncology disease area, guiding study planning, data interpretation, and issue resolution.
• Lead standardization of Clinical Science approaches, data review practices, and governance across studies and assets.
• Offer senior scientific guidance to protocol development, endpoint selection, and biomarker discussions, coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
• Contribute to portfolio strategy, governance discussions, and senior management communications with clear scientific rationale.
• Lead and develop a team of Directors and Principal Scientists, fostering coaching, accountability, and performance.
