Brown & Brown is seeking a transformational and results-oriented Senior Director, Technology Solutions to lead the strategy, delivery, and ongoing management of enterprise platforms supporting our shared services organizations, including Teammate Resources (HR), Finance, Legal, and other corporate functions. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Technology Officer, this leader will be responsible for the technology vision, roadmap, governance, and operational performance of our shared services technology ecosystem. The role will serve as a trusted business partner to the Chief People Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Legal Officer, and their leadership teams, ensuring technology investments enable business growth, operational efficiency, compliance, and an exceptional teammate experience. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in corporate application management, enterprise platforms, and organizational leadership with a passion for developing people, driving accountability, and delivering business outcomes. This leader must be capable of managing large-scale technology change initiatives with empathy, transparency, and strong communication while building high-performing teams that consistently exceed expectations.
This role is critical to ensuring Brown & Brown's shared-services organizations have the technology capabilities, platforms, and leadership necessary to scale efficiently and support the company's continued growth. The Senior Director will play a pivotal role in shaping how our teammates work, how our corporate functions operate, and how technology enables business success across the enterprise.
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute the technology strategy and roadmap for enterprise shared-services platforms supporting Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and other corporate functions. Partner closely with executive stakeholders to align technology investments with business priorities and long-term organizational objectives. Identify opportunities to modernize processes, reduce complexity, improve user experience, and increase operational effectiveness across corporate functions. Serve as a key advisor to the CITO and executive leadership team on shared-services technology strategy, risks, and opportunities.
Enterprise Platform Management
Own the overall health, performance, governance, and lifecycle management of enterprise applications supporting shared services. Lead strategy and optimization efforts for Workday, including Human Capital Management, Financials, and related platform capabilities. Oversee a portfolio of enterprise applications, integrations, reporting platforms, workflow solutions, and automation technologies. Ensure platforms are scalable, secure, compliant, and capable of supporting future business growth. Build strong relationships with the Chief People Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Legal Officer, and their respective leadership teams. Translate business needs into technology solutions that drive measurable outcomes. Establish governance processes that promote alignment, prioritization, transparency, and accountability across stakeholders. Act as the primary technology leader for corporate shared-services organizations.
Business Partnership
Build strong relationships with the Chief People Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Legal Officer, and their respective leadership teams. Translate business needs into technology solutions that drive measurable outcomes. Establish governance processes that promote alignment, prioritization, transparency, and accountability across stakeholders. Act as the primary technology leader for corporate shared-services organizations.
Organizational Leadership
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of technology leaders, managers, analysts, architects, and application professionals. Recruit exceptional talent and create an environment focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth. Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans across the organization. Foster a culture of ownership, urgency, collaboration, and service excellence.
Change Leadership
Lead complex business and technology transformations across enterprise functions. Drive adoption of new capabilities through effective stakeholder engagement, communication, and change management practices. Balance business outcomes with teammate experience, ensuring change is implemented thoughtfully and empathetically. Champion organizational readiness and continuous improvement initiatives.
Operational Excellence
Establish service delivery standards, performance metrics, and operational processes that ensure high-quality technology services. Manage budgets, vendor relationships, contracts, and strategic partnerships. Drive operational efficiency while maintaining strong governance, security, and compliance standards. Utilize data and business metrics to continuously improve service delivery and platform performance.
