Job description

Position Summary...

The Senior Director, Risk Decision Analytics & Transaction Fraud will lead Walmart’s strategy for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating fraud across the transaction lifecycle. This leader will build a best-in-class capability that brings together transaction monitoring, fraud analytics, risk decisioning, and performance reporting to answer three critical questions: How are we performing? What emerging fraud risks are we seeing? What actions should we take? The role will evolve the organization from primarily reactive fraud mitigation toward a more proactive, data-driven approach—using transaction data, trends, signals, rules, and decisioning outcomes to identify emerging threats earlier and continuously improve Walmart’s fraud prevention capabilities. In addition to leading risk decision analytics and transaction fraud, this leader will oversee Returns Fraud & Abuse and Post-Transaction & Contact Risk, connecting insights across these areas to strengthen Walmart’s end-to-end fraud prevention strategy. This leader will work closely with Technology, Product, Data Science, Payments, Compliance, Operations, Global Investigations, and business teams to strengthen fraud decisioning while balancing fraud loss, customer experience, and business growth.

  • Lead Returns Fraud & Abuse strategy, partnering with business and operations teams to identify and mitigate fraudulent and abusive behaviors while balancing loss prevention with customer experience.
  • Oversee Post-Transaction & Contact Risk, strengthening fraud prevention capabilities and controls across customer contact and post-transaction interactions.
  • Connect fraud insights across the customer lifecycle, ensuring trends identified in transaction fraud, returns, and post-transaction activity create actionable feedback loops across Fraud Strategy, Technology, Product, and Operations.
