Qualifications

Job Description
Opportunity at a Glance

The Senior Director, Talent Management sets the strategic direction for how Covista develops its workforce for the future. This role oversees performance, succession, career and skills development, and workforce planning. This person will also lead a team of directors and talent partners who bring talent strategy to life, in close partnership with teams focused on execution, analytics, and workforce insight. The Senior Director will design and execute Covista's future of work strategy, ensuring the organization has the workforce plans, succession depth, and skills architecture to meet the business's evolving needs at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Leads the enterprise talent review process, creating a Covista leadership profile, identifying individuals with potential, and facilitating leadership selection strategies. Owns critical role succession planning, ensuring succession plans and strategies are developed and maintained at scale.
  • Owns the Connected Performance strategy, developing and implementing a performance management process that is integrated with the overall business strategy and other HR processes. Continually evaluates the quality of the process and makes recommendations for improvement, training and/or communication, where applicable.
  • Builds and maintains career architecture and skills frameworks, including career path progressions, rotational programs, and knowledge/skill progression programs, to enable skills-based talent decisions and internal mobility at scale.
  • Owns the strategic workforce planning process, partnering with business and finance leaders to align talent supply and demand with business strategy. Develops metrics and tracking systems to measure the effectiveness of the talent review process, performance management, career architecture, and development programs, and regularly evaluates program impact to make adjustments as necessary.
  • Leads a team consisting of a Director of Talent Management and up to three Talent Partners. Partners with the Talent Strategy Deployment team on tactical execution of talent strategy, the Analytics & Insights Talent team on dashboards and reporting, and the AI Integration team on workflow analysis and line of sight into AI's impact on the workforce.
  • Designs and leads the organization's "future of work" strategy, defining how work, roles, and skills will evolve and translating that vision into actionable talent and organizational plans.
  • Facilitates team building and team effectiveness sessions.
  • Participates in the internal assessment for executive level positions.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a human resource, psychology required or communications discipline. Required and master's degree preferred
  • At least 15 years of experience as a human resources generalist with exposure to talent management processes, training, and HR program design and managemen required
  • Strong training and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent writing, verbal communications and listening skills.
Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $150,000 and $250,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
