Center for Democracy & Technology (CDT) seeks a senior, entrepreneurial fundraising executive to join the management team as Director of Development & External Affairs in Washington, DC. This role leads CDT’s fundraising strategy and operations during a period of growth, partnering with the CEO and Board to meet ambitious revenue goals.

The Director will manage CDT’s development team, cultivate major gifts, and oversee foundations, corporate fundraising, and donor engagement initiatives, while

Qualificações

• At least 10 years of progressively responsible development experience.
• Proven track record of cultivating, soliciting, and closing major gifts from individuals.
• Experience leading and developing a fundraising team.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-year development strategy in partnership with the CEO and senior leadership.
• Lead, manage, and mentor CDT’s development team and oversee fundraising operations.
• Translate CDT’s policy work into a compelling case for support for donors and funders.
• Oversee foundation, corporate, and events-based fundraising with strong proposal and reporting processes.
• Represent CDT to funders and the broader philanthropic community and raise CDT’s profile.
