Job summary

Vitis Energy in Saint Augustine, FL is hiring a Senior Director of Development to lead end-to-end development for BESS, solar, and flexible generation. You will own land control, interconnection, permitting, and early-stage engineering, guiding projects from concept through NTP and into execution.

You will drive market siting playbooks, coordinate with utilities and landowners, and build a high-performing team, while maintaining rigorous stage gates and risk management in a fast-paced,

Qualifications

• 8+ years in U.S. power project development with leadership of end-to-end projects.
• Deep knowledge of interconnection queues, study cycles, and RFP dynamics.
• Proven ability to secure land control and advance to NTP or financial close.
• Experience coordinating multiple workstreams (engineering, EPC, OEM).

Responsibilities

• Own and lead end-to-end development, from siting to NTP readiness.
• Maintain Tier 1/2 market playbooks and land origination strategies.
• Drive interconnection and permitting strategies across markets.
• Mentor and grow the development team.
• Coordinate with finance on offtake structures and project economics.
