ESPN in Bristol, CT is seeking a Senior Director of Programming Business Affairs to lead sports rights acquisitions, licensing, and rights management for ESPN and TWDC across linear, digital, and emerging platforms.

The role partners with Programming, Legal, Ad Sales, DTC, Finance, and Strategy to drive strategic deals, contractual compliance, and enterprise value. A JD, MBA or related advanced degree is preferred, with 10+ years in sports media and proven leadership experience.

Qualifications

10+ years in sports media, programming, business affairs, media rights, or related field.
Experience negotiating complex media rights agreements and licensing arrangements.
Proven track record leading cross-functional initiatives with senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated people leadership, coaching, and team development.
Strong understanding of sports media ecosystem across linear, streaming, and digital platforms.
Excellent executive communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

Responsabilités

Lead strategic preparation for major media rights renewals and negotiate high-profile agreements.
Partner with senior leaders to maximize value and flexibility of acquired rights.
Oversee content rights management, compliance, and reporting frameworks.
Develop scalable governance structures to support growth and operational efficiency.
Coordinate cross-functional efforts across Programming, Legal, Ad Sales, DTC, and Finance.
