Job summary

Vizient seeks a Spend Management Leader to guide a team of Spend Managers in the Northeast region, driving sourcing and spend optimization aligned with client priorities and Vizient’s purchasing program.

You will partner with Spend Executives and senior leaders to align client workplans, coach on QBRs, and implement programs such as Impact Standardization and Novaplus, ensuring value delivery and client satisfaction. This is a hybrid role with travel.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant performance improvement, operations or healthcare experience.
• Proven leadership ability with experience building high-performing teams and coaching talent.
• Strong executive presence with success presenting to senior management.
• Excellent project management, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

• Hybrid role requiring three days in office in Irving, TX or Chicago, IL; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing team of Spend Managers focused on client challenges.

• Recommend enhancements to standard work and automation to Spend Management Delivery executives.
• Direct and oversee consistent adoption of standard work across the team.
• Contribute to Spend Manager training curriculum and development.

You will drive sourcing and spend optimization strategies that align with organizational goals, strengthen client partnerships, and maximize the effectiveness of Vizient’s group purchasing organization. You will collaborate with stakeholders to implement category strategies and ensure alignment with the Spend Management Delivery team and client priorities.

• Recommend enhancements to standard work and automation to Spend Management Delivery executives.

• Direct and oversee consistent adoption of standard work across the team.

• Contribute expertise to the development of Spend Manager training curriculum.

• Own accountability for team performance, budget management, and financial outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree preferred.

• 10 or more years of relevant performance improvement, operations or healthcare related experience required.

• Proven leadership ability with experience building high-performing teams, coaching talent, and fostering growth through collaboration and partnership.

• Strong executive presence with demonstrated success presenting to and working with senior management.

• Excellent project management, facilitation, and interpersonal skills to lead complex initiatives and drive results.

• Strategic and independent thinker with the ability to align initiatives to client and organization priorities.

• Skilled motivator and team builder who can inspire, lead, and support others to deliver high performance and continuous improvement.

• Hybrid role requiring three days per week in office, based in either Irving, TX or Chicago, IL.

• Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $236,600.00.
