Job summary

AWC is seeking a Senior Director of Software Engineering & Data to lead the Enterprise Applications organization, overseeing software engineering, data engineering, and the modern data platform. You will partner with CIO, business leaders, and ERP teams to set priorities, establish scalable practices, and drive a major technology modernization effort.

The ideal candidate combines technical depth with strong leadership, business acumen, and the ability to build and coach high‑performing teams

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading software engineering organizations with delivery responsibility.
• Experience building and transforming engineering operating models and standards.
• Strong business acumen to align technology with organizational goals.
• Experience owning enterprise data platforms and data governance.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and driving adoption.

Responsibilities

• Lead software engineering, data engineering, and enterprise applications teams.
• Set up scalable engineering processes for intake, prioritization, capacity planning, and deployment.
• Guide technical direction with architects to ensure reliable, maintainable systems.
• Oversee modernization while maintaining critical business applications.
• Drive delivery lifecycle from design to production support and align with business priorities to maximize value.
• Support ERP transformation, system integration, and data migration planning.
• Foster high-performing teams with accountability, learning, and collaboration.
