University of Illinois Chicago in Chicago, IL, seeks an Associate Director for the Simulation and Integrative Learning Institute (SAIL) within Medical Education. You will oversee day‑to‑day operations, staff, and budgeting to deliver high‑quality simulation programs.

The role emphasizes scheduling, client coordination, vendor management, ethics, and staff development, with collaboration across leadership and external partners to advance curricular projects and institutional goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in business, healthcare administration, biological sciences, theater/theater arts, or related field.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; highly organized with multitasking ability.
• At least 8 years in managerial roles overseeing a simulation team of 10+ direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of SAIL and ensure smooth delivery of simulations.
• Oversee scheduling, coordination, and implementation of client and curricular programs.
• Manage vendor relationships and procurement for resources.
• Monitor budgeting, billing, and cost tracking; report to Executive Director.
• Ensure activities follow best practice standards and ethics.
• Support staff development, engagement, and wellness.
• Collaborate with Executive Director on strategic initiatives.
• Work with clients on project implementation planning.
• Perform other duties and participate in projects as assigned.
