GrubMarket operates across the food supply chain, combining food distribution with technology and software, and has announced the confidential submission of a draft registration statement on Form S-1 for a proposed public offering.

This role will own the accuracy, clarity, and timely delivery of SEC financial disclosures. The successful candidate will be a hands‑on leader who can work across a complex group of businesses, build a durable reporting process, and partner effectively with accounting leadership, operations, legal counsel, and external auditors.

What you’ll do
  • Lead the preparation and review of the S-1 and related amendments, including financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, selected financial data, and responses to SEC comments.
  • Establish and manage the reporting calendar and processes for future Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and other applicable SEC filings.
  • Own financial statement tie‑outs, disclosure checklists, supporting schedules, and the review of financial information presented throughout filings and investor materials.
  • Partner with corporate accounting and regional finance teams to ensure consolidated results are complete, consistent, and supported across acquired businesses and multiple accounting systems.
  • Draft and review technical accounting memoranda and disclosures for significant or complex transactions, including acquisitions, revenue recognition, debt, equity compensation, and other matters relevant to the business.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, legal counsel, and other advisers through filing preparation, audit and review cycles, and SEC comment resolution.
  • Lead the review of non‑GAAP measures and operating metrics, ensuring clear definitions, consistent calculations, appropriate reconciliations, and documented support.
  • Develop reporting controls, documentation standards, and review procedures that support accurate, repeatable public company reporting.
  • Oversee the reporting workstream for new acquisitions, including the financial information and disclosures needed for consolidated reporting.
  • Build and develop a strong SEC reporting team as the company’s needs evolve.
What you bring
  • CPA designation and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Significant experience in SEC reporting and U.S. GAAP, including direct responsibility for preparing or reviewing Forms 10-K, 10-Q, or S-1.
  • Experience leading reporting for a public company or guiding a company through an IPO readiness process.
  • Strong technical accounting judgment and the ability to turn complex analyses into clear, well‑supported disclosures.
  • Experience working with external auditors and legal counsel under demanding filing deadlines.
  • The ability to organize information across multiple entities, teams, and accounting systems.
  • A practical, detail‑oriented leadership style and a willingness to work directly in the numbers and disclosures.

Experience with acquisition‑heavy businesses, consolidations, XBRL, or financial reporting systems is a plus.
