CSL Plasma is seeking a Senior Director of Search & Evaluation to shape our Immunology portfolio by leading external asset sourcing from Phase 2 to marketed drugs. The role requires deep clinical Immunology expertise and extensive engagement with KOLs and investigators.

The successful candidate will drive cross-functional due diligence, coordinate with BD and regional leads, and represent the function at external conferences and forums to advance strategic opportunities.

Qualificações

• 15+ years in biopharma with clinical development/external innovation/BD
• Advanced degree required (MD, PhD, or equivalent)

• Lead as the senior S&E leader within the Therapy Area Leadership Team, shaping strategy and portfolio planning.
• Drive proactive sourcing for Phase 2 to marketed assets aligned with TA strategy and unmet needs.
• Co-lead NPO discussions with Early Search Lead for due diligence and deal negotiations.
• Engage extensively with external KOLs and investigators to validate asset potential and trial designs.
• Maintain awareness of standards of care and competitive landscapes to inform sourcing priorities.
• Coordinate cross-functional due diligence across clinical, regulatory, and market access.
• Partner with BD and Regional Ecosystem Leads to advance opportunities through negotiation and close.
• Represent the TA externally, leading sourcing activities at conferences and in professional networks.

CSL is expanding its external innovation capability, and we're looking for a Senior Director of Search & Evaluation to help shape the future of our Immunology portfolio.

We are seeking a Senior Director of Search & Evaluation to lead strategic sourcing and evaluation of later-stage external clinical assets in Immunology. This leader will focus on opportunities from Phase 2 through marketed drugs, requiring deep clinical expertise, strong engagement with external Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and clinical investigators, and a keen understanding of evolving standards of care. The role is critical to shaping our portfolio through high-impact partnerships and transactions.

To be hybrid-based onsite (3 days a week) at one of our R&D hub sites: Zurich (CH), Maidenhead (UK), Waltham (US), King of Prussia (US). This position cannot be held remotely.

Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Serve as the senior S&E leader within the Therapy Area Leadership Team, influencing therapeutic strategy and integrating late-stage external innovation priorities into portfolio planning.
• Lead proactive sourcing efforts for Phase 2 to marketed assets, identifying opportunities that align with TA strategy and unmet medical needs.
• Co-lead internal meetings (with Early Search Lead) focused on evaluating and prioritizing New Product Opportunities (NPOs) within Immunology. NPO meetings are strategic checkpoints where cross-functional teams review potential assets identified by Search and decide whether to advance them for further due diligence and deal negotiations.
• Engage extensively with external KOLs, clinical investigators, and networks to validate asset potential, understand trial designs & clinical endpoints, and anticipate competitive dynamics.
• Maintain deep awareness of changing standards of care and competitive landscapes to inform sourcing priorities and deal strategy.
• Drive cross-functional due diligence for late-stage assets, coordinating clinical, regulatory, commercial, and market access assessments to support governance decisions.
• Partner closely with BD and Regional Ecosystem Leads to advance high-priority opportunities through negotiation and deal close, ensuring seamless handoff and execution.
• Represent the TA externally, leading sourcing activities at specialized conferences and building relationships with pharma, biotech, and clinical communities.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

• 15+ years in biopharma with significant experience in clinical development, external innovation, or business development.
• Advanced degree required (MD, PhD, or equivalent).
• Deep clinical expertise in Immunology.
• Proven track record of sourcing and closing late-stage deals and engaging with KOLs and clinical networks.
• Strong understanding of regulatory pathways, market access, and competitive standards of care.
